浙江昌化石

昌化石出产于浙江昌化县, 也是中国名石。 |
| |
Changhua Stone is produced
at Changhua County, Zhejiang Province. It is a kind of famous
Chinese stone. |

昌化石也为高岭石族矿，分为水坑和旱坑两大类。 |
| |
Changhua Stone is a Kaolinite
earth family stone. It is divided into two types, that is Water
Pit and Mountain Pit. |

| |
水坑石质地细嫩, 色泽纯正、透明，为昌化石之上品。 |
| |
The grand of Water Pit
stone is greatly cherished. The pure, clean and transparent
stone is regarded as high value. |

水坑石中以质白如玉、半透明的羊脂冻[图2.1.1]为最佳,
顺次为: |

Among Water Pit stones,
“Yang Zhi Jelly Stone” [picture 2.1.1], a stone with white jade
color and glossiness, is the best, and then are ranged in quality

其中的珍品为鸡血石[图2.1.5]。它是含有鸡血般鲜红的结晶体,
由石中含辰砂(Hgs)所引致。由于产量极少, 故非常珍贵。清乾隆皇帝(1736～1795年)得到一方羊脂地通体含血的鸡血石,
十分珍爱, 命名为“大红袍”。从此昌化鸡血石更加扬名。 |

The treasure of this kind
of stone is called “Chicken-blood Stone” [picture 2.1.5]. It
is caused by Hgs in the stone with high value since its output
of this kind of stone is rare. In QingDynasty, Emperor Qian
Long (1736～1795) got a Checken-blook stone withfull “blood”
and Yang Zhi Jelly earth. He liked it very much and named it
“Da Hong Bao”, the Red Robe. Since then, the Chicken-blood Stone
has made its name. |

| 鸡血石以鲜红为贵。含血多少, 又分为： |

| The value is determined by the
“blood” and the “earth”. The richer blood, the higher
value it is. A stone with a bright red is of the highest
value in Chicken-blood Stone and then the dark red. According
to different arrangement of “blood”, they can be divided
into following types. That is: |
 全红
full blood |

| 对面红
opposite faces blood |
| 单面红
single face blood |
| 顶脚红
Top and bottom blood |
| 局部红
partial blood |
| 块血
block blood |
| 散血
scatter blood |
| 如果一方石章是羊脂冻地而含全红或四面红的块血石，为罕见印石珍品,
其价值要超过田黄。 |
| If a stone is of
“Sheep grease” earth and full blood or round faces blood,
it will be greatly treasured and its value will be higher
than Tian Huang Stone’s. |

昌化石中凡旱坑所产, 石枯质硬, 且中多砂钉。
砂钉不能入刀, 名家甚少采用[图2.1.6]。 |

The quality of Mountain
Pit Stone is not good. There are a lot of sand and metal particles
in the stone. The hardness of these kinds of particles is greater
than that of knives. It is difficult to be carved and polished,
so most of them are mainly used for studing carving [picture
2.1.6]. |
